Port of Cork

The Port of Cork is the largest docklands in the south of Ireland and has invested over 80million into improving the facilities. It is one of the main ports in Ireland which caters for all shipping modes. The Port of Cork is a vast area and is the second biggest port in the world after Port Jackson in Sydney Australia. The Port of Cork is ideally positioned for additional European trading as well as for yet unexploited direct deep sea shipping services.

‘The Port of Cork’s growing reputation for quality service, including prompt and efficient vessel turnaround, ensures its position as a vital link in the global supply chain.’ (Port of Cork 2010)

The Port of Cork is working to improve its role as a strategic authority and has continued to maintain it for the past half-century. It has also established strong and productive links with the European Commission and with other port authorities around the world.
